Bibisara Assaubayeva won Norway Chess Women 2026 with a round to spare, sealing the title in Oslo after a draw against defending champion Anna Muzychuk.
The Kazakh star finished on 16.5 points, ahead of China's Zhu Jiner on 16 and Muzychuk on 15. She went unbeaten in classical play with a plus-three score, gaining 15.2 rating points and climbing to fifth place in the women's live rankings.
The women's event ran alongside the open tournament, which concluded on June 5 with Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu taking the open title, as Norway Chess crowned two champions in its first Oslo edition.
